Annual Review of fiscal year 2081/082 and road map of 2082/083 held

Aatmanirbhar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd (ANLBS) organized a one-day symposium on the annual review of the fiscal year 2081/082  and road map of the fiscal year 2082/083 on August 14, 2025, at Hotel Vingrelli in Ghorahi Sub Metropolis.

Dang district coordination committee president Nitya Nanda Sharma graced the opening ceremony as the chief guest while special guests were chairperson of ANLBS Mira Chaudhary, founding chairperson Aasmani Chaudhary, board committee members Mina Giri and Tikaram Chaudhary. 

The program was presided over by Chief Executive Officer Shogat Bir Chaudhary. The welcome speech was given by senior staff Sushila Giri while the senior staff Kalidas Chaudhary moderated the program.

Speaking during the program ANLBS chairperson Mira Chaudhary called upon all staff to seriously review what they have been doing and what they could have done to achieve the organization goal.  She asked them to motivate the additional members to take loan to start up some small business in their places.

Similarly, addressing the participants of the program the founding chairperson of the promoter organization Rural Women Development Centre (RWDC) or Gramin Mahila Utthan Kendra and founding chairperson of ANLBS Aasmani Chaudhary stressed the need to coordinate with the project staff of RWDC in expanding the areas of ANLBS and increasing the membership. 

The chairperson also expressed that the organization was established to empower and improve the livelihood of the marginalized rural women.  The chairperson asked the staff to be innovative in their approaches to achieve the goals.

Likewise, the chief guest Nitya Nanda Sharma appreciated the commendable mission and vision seen and implemented by its visionary leadership of ANLBS. He further indicated that Nepal could achieve the highest development and prosperity if all the leaders could think and work like Aasmani Chaudhary.

He added, "This organization has empowered the rural women which is appreciatory work in Dang district. Today Nepal is facing chaotic situation as youths are drifting to foreign countries in search of jobs and opportunities. In this situation, the organization has enabled many youths to do something within the country. The government should also invest in such ventures. I will be willing to support this organization whenever and wherever my assistance arise."

Lastly, the presiding chair of the program Shogat Bir Chaudhary said that since ANLBS has been awarded the highest tax payer award in Rapti area in the last three years, the government should provide peace and security to microfinance services as the field staff are sometimes molested by the so called struggle committee members under the instigation of people who are politically motivated to defame microfinance services that are indeed reducing poverty index of the country.

The first opening session of the program was concluded after the concluding remarks of Shogat Bir Chaudhary.

In the second session, the annual review of fiscal year 2081/082 and mapping of the fiscal year 2082/083 was held in which the progress performance of each of the 21 branches of ANLBS was highlighted through slides in a presentation moderated by senior staff member Nirmal Chaudhary.  

The overall presentation showed how each branch was either in a plus situation. The branches lagging in attaining the targeted goals in reducing their non-performing loans and upgrading their performance were also highlighted in the review program, and suggestions to improve were given in the program. z
